Guinness World Records has reacted to Ghanaian Chef Failatu Abdul Razak’s attempt to break world records as the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
According to Guinness World Records, they look forward to receiving evidence regarding Failatu Abdul Razak’s Coo-A-Thon marathon to pass judgement.
Chef Failatu Abdul Razak has ended her attempt of Guinness World Records as the longest cooking marathon by an individual with 227-hour.
The event took place at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.
After the successful event, social media user on X post tagged GWR said “After 227 hours, Chef Faila (@FailaAbdulRazak) has turned off her gas to officially conclude her extraordinary cookathon, in this remarkable singular @GWR attempt. Her challenge will undergo review by Guinness World Records, awaiting official confirmation.…”
Chef Faila (@FailaAbdulRazak) is set to conclude her remarkable cooking challenge after over 205 hours. Tomorrow morning, on Wednesday, January 10, at 10 a.m., she is expected to turn off her gas, bringing her personal best in this singular @GWR cookathon attempt…”
Responding to the post, Guinness World Records stated that “we look forward to reviewing her evidence!” the post read.
Meanwhile, Chefs Association of Ghana (CAG) has crowned Failatu Abdul Razak as Executive Chef for her attempt to break the Guinness World Record as the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
The Association said they are solidly behind her in recognition of your outstanding achievement in promoting Ghana’s Hospitality Industry through cook-a-thon.
The Association gave her a citation to express their gratitude to her attempt to break the world record.
The citation read: “The Ghana Chef Association wishes to congratulate and recognize your official attempt to break the World Guinness Record for Cook-A-Thon (the longest cooking marathon)” It read.
The entire membership of the Association is solidly behind you in recognition of your outstanding achievement in promoting Ghana’s Hospitality Industry through cook-a-thon.
We confer to you the title ‘Executive Chef’ which is the highest rank in our profession. You are now an Executive Chef, Failatu Abdul Razak” portion of the citation read.
