The founder of the New Force believes that the government wants to disgrace him after he declared his intention to contest as an Independent Candidate in the December 7 general elections hence, Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) tax evasion accusation.

It is reported that Cheddar had been fined a total of GH¢50,000.00 for his failure to file personal income tax returns from 2013 to 2016.

Reacting to this claim, Nana Kwame Bediako indicated that the government intends to disgrace him but it is impossible to achieve their aim.

“I woke up this morning and found out that my picture has been published in the various newspapers that I evaded tax, I have worked for almost 22 to 23 years in this country and I have paid a lot of taxes and I am still paying more. I have brought many things in this country, containers only are more than 1500 and I have paid the tax accordingly” Cheddar stated.

He said Ghanaians are facing economic hardship and that is what the government should focus and address these challenges.

“Traders in Makola are suffering, traders in Kumasi kejetia are suffering, Traders in Kantamanto are suffering, we are looking up to the government to see what he has for us the citizens to alleviate our difficulties. If the government intends to disgrace me and has decided to publish my name in newspapers, no, you can’t disgrace me because God has given me strength” Cheddar said.

According to him, the GRA could have scheduled a meeting with him if they found that he is guilty than publishing his name in papers.

“If you think I own you, let us talk and I will settle it is not about disgracing, and for GRA, I am a concerned citizens so if there is anything you can call me and I come and settle everything”

“What I am saying is that Ghanaians should rise up and talk to the government and demand what deserves us, there are no jobs, no factories so what are we taxing? Only one or two people are going to be taxed, that is why I have come to create jobs for Ghanaians. If you are working and we tax you, we will know what we will use our taxes for. So Ghanaians must rise up and change political powers and I know the leaders will understand me.” Cheddar charged Ghanaians.
