The Founder and Overseer of the Christian Builders Church, popularly known as Nyame Tease, Bishop Dr. Thomas Yeboah Afari, has called on Ghanaians to remain grateful to God and adopt discipline, self-reliance, and openness to change as the country enters the year 2026.

Reflecting on the past year, Bishop Dr. Yeboah Afari, noted that despite the numerous challenges and tribulations Ghana faced in 2025, God remained faithful and saw the nation through. He made these assertions in an interview with the media at his office during the 2025 31st All-Night Service.

“God has been merciful to us in the year 2025. There were many challenges and tribulations that we faced as a country, but God saw us through the year. For this reason, we must be grateful and appreciate the living God.”

He urged the populace to recognize and acknowledge God as the Creator and designer of all things, stressing the need for vigilance in all endeavors in the new year.

“My advice to the populace is to recognize our Creator. It is about time we acknowledged and appreciated that God is the designer of all things. We should also remain vigilant in all our endeavors in the year 2026.”

Bishop Dr. Afari further reminded citizens that all human beings are created in the image of God and are therefore capable of achieving greatness. He encouraged individuals to set meaningful goals for 2026 and cautioned against excessive dependence on government and relatives.

Touching on national development, he stressed on the importance of effective time management, describing it as a critical area where improvement is needed

“We are all created in the image of God, and therefore we are capable of doing great things. As such, we must all strive to achieve something meaningful in the year 2026. We should not be overly dependent on the government or our relatives, but rather make conscious efforts to do things on our own.

“In the year 2026, we must manage our time effectively. Africans are often not good at keeping or managing time, but we must change that in 2026 by becoming more time-conscious. If we are able to manage our time properly, we will be able to develop as a country.”

Bishop Dr. Thomas Yeboah Afari further called for openness to change and innovation, acknowledging that transformation often comes with resistance but is necessary for progress.

“We must also be open to change and new ideas. Every change comes with struggle and resistance, but as a country, we must be ready to abandon our old, unproductive ways and turn a new leaf to grow and develop our nation.”
