Yesterday, 25th November 2025, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening economic and diplomatic ties with the United Kingdom. She spoke at a reception in Accra marking the UK’s National Day and King Charles III’s birthday.
The Minister described the UK-Ghana relationship as one built on “cooperation, solidarity, and partnership.” She said the partnership has grown into a mutually beneficial economic relationship that goes beyond aid, focusing on investment, knowledge sharing, and initiatives that directly benefit citizens.

H.E. Dr. Christian Rogg, British High Commissioner to Ghana, praised Ghana’s progress in trade and economic cooperation. He noted Ghana’s increasing presence in UK markets and highlighted the country’s transition from a low-income to a middle-income nation while staying true to its values.
The event was attended by dignitaries including the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, and former Presidents of Ghana. It marked a key moment in UK-Ghana relations and reinforced both countries’ commitment to long-term cooperation.
