The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has announced the official fixtures for the 2024 GHALCA competition.
The competition is expected to last for a week, from Sunday, 18th August 2024 to Sunday, 25th August 2024, at the newly constructed T&A Sports Stadium in Tarkwa.
Speaking in an interview with Peace FM, GHALCA boss Kudjoe Fianoo explained that the FA Cup winner and the league winner couldn’t take part of the competition because their calendar and what GFA gave them clashed with CAF competitions.
The competition will feature a series of matches, with each team playing against every other. The participating teams of this year’s GHALCA competition are Berekum Chelsea, Nations FC, Medeama SC and Bechem United.
The games will start on Sunday, 18th August, 2024 with Berekum Chelsea and Nations FC playing the first game at 3:oopm. Later on the same day, Medeama will host Bechem United at 6:00pm.
On match day two which is slated on Wednesday, 21st August, 2024, Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea will face each other at 3:oopm while Nations will play as the home team against Medeama at 6:00pm.
The GHALCA tournament is supposed to come to an end on Sunday, 25th August, 2024w where Bechem united will face Nations FC at 3:00pm and Medeama will play Berekum Chelsea at 6:00pm
All matches will be played at the T&A Sports Stadium in Tarkwa which is the home ground for Tarkwa based team, Medeama SC.
The GHALCA competition is an annual event that aims to keep high-performing teams in shape for the upcoming season. The tournament provides an opportunity for these clubs to compete against each other in a round-robin format.
