Former Bono East Forestry Deputy Manager thanks Techiman Traditional Council for support after promotion

The former Bono East Regional Deputy Manager of the Forestry Services Division, Rev. Jonathan Obour-Wiredu, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Techiman Traditional Council for the support and guidance they offered him during his stay in the region.

Rev. Jonathan Obour-Wiredu, who has now been promoted as the Greater Accra Regional Manager for the Forestry Services Division, said the encouragement and cooperation he received from the chiefs and people of Techiman played a major role in the successes achieved in protecting the region’s forest resources.

He noted that he is especially grateful to the Paramount Chief of Techiman, Oseadeyor Akumfi Ameyaw IV, and the entire Traditional Council for their leadership and continuous support towards forestry activities in the Bono East Region.

“I am very grateful to the people of Techiman, especially the Paramount Chief, Oseadeyor Akumfi Ameyaw IV, and the Techiman Traditional Council, for their support and guidance throughout my stay in the Bono East Region as the Deputy Manager of the Forestry Services Division.”

He also thanked all Heads of Department in the region and the staff of the Bono East Regional Forestry Services Division for their hard work and dedication, which he said contributed greatly to safeguarding the forests.

“I would also like to thank all Heads of Department in the region, as well as the staff of the Bono East Regional Forestry Services Division, for their cooperation and hard work in ensuring that our forests are protected.”

He assured the people of Techiman that even though he has moved to Greater Accra, he remains available to provide any support needed to advance forestry work in the area while expressing confidence in the capabilities of the Forestry Services team in the Bono East Region and encouraged stakeholders to continue supporting them.

“Although I have been promoted to the position of Greater Accra Regional Manager for the Forestry Services Division, I remain readily available to assist the good people of Techiman whenever the need arises. I believe in the capabilities of the Forestry Services Division in the Bono East Region, and I am confident that with the needed support from all relevant stakeholders, they will continue to excel in their work.”

Rev. Obour-Wiredu further called on the public to make a conscious effort to protect forest reserves and trees in their communities, adding that trees provide important health and environmental benefits and must be protected at all times.

“I would like to encourage everyone to make a conscious effort to protect our forest reserves and the trees in our various communities. Trees provide significant health and environmental benefits, and they must be protected at all costs.”
