The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has warned the largest opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC) to be conscious of their messages to the party members ahead and after the 7th December, 2024 general elections.
According to the ruling party, the NDC has already projected themselves as winners of this year’s elections so that they tell their supporters that the elections were rigged should the Electoral Commission declare the NPP winners.
The Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as unfair when it comes to an election.
According to General Mosquito, evidence of past elections have proven that the NPP don’t like fairness during elections so the NDC will not rest in the 7th December 2024, general elections.
“We are conscious of the fact that our opponent who control the state machineries do not believe in fairness at all, that is why we are assuring Ghanaians that we will not rest and we will not falter. We will not relent until every vote is cast, every vote is counted, and every vote is made to count by the Jeam Mensah led Electoral Commission” Asiedu Nketia declared.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, the Chairperson of the largest opposition party claimed that from all indications, NDC will win the 7th December, 2024 general elections for that matter they will not rest for the NPP to overturn the change Ghanaians are looking for.
He also urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to start preparing their handover notes.
“Every evidence and indicator shows the NDC will win the 2024 elections. Beyond the polls published by pollsters, our series of internal research consistently point to a one torch victory for John Dramani Mahama with the convincing working majority in parliament” Asiedu Nketia stated.
Responding to this, The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B stated that Ghanaians have rejected former president John Dramani Mahama and the NDC so Asiedu Nketia’s claim is baseless.
Adding that there is no need for the NPP to prepare handing over notes.
“Yesterday, Asiedu Nketiah addressed the press conference, the same person who claimed NDC won the 2020 election and vowed to go to court. However, he was also the star witness who testified but not knowing they didn’t have collated results, not realizing that whatever they were doing and their purpose to go to was baseless.” Nana B said in an interview on Peace FM on January 9, 2023.
“NDC will lose this year’s election so they should be careful not to go and lie to their supporters that someone rigged the election because nobody is going to rig the election” He warned.
Nana B categorically stated that the Vice president and the flagbearer of the NPP will be declared president of Ghana after 7th December elections.
“Mark it everywhere, as God lives, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be president next year. ” He declared.
He emphasized that the NDC is of the view that the 8 year term for every government in Ghana will continue in the 7th December general elections.
He stressed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will break the 8 with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the flagbearer.
“They are of the view that every government that comes to power for 8 years is still going to rule this country. They should not forget that there is no President in this country Ghanaians have rejected him other than former president, John Dramani Mahama. They should not forget that Ghanaians already know their presidential candidate, and they are no longer interested in him. His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will become the president of this country,” he added.
Ghanaians are lacing their boots for the general elections slotted for 7th December, 2024.
