Hon. Kwasi Adu Gyan, the Bono East Regional Minister, has reaffirmed his commitment and that of the Bono East region to ensuring free, fair, and violent-free elections.
Hon. Kwasi Adu Gyan emphasized the importance of maintaining a peaceful and orderly electoral process, stating that violence has no place in Ghana’s democratic process. He called on all political parties and their supporters to adhere to the principles of democracy and respect the rights of others, regardless of their political affiliations.
“We in the Bone East region, are very much committed and we are assuring you that the coming elections will be a very peaceful one. We cherished democracy and we love democracy, so Nanaom and myself and our youth, will not be allowed to go astray.
“Just a couple of weeks ago, I was having an argument with someone in the presence of my NDC regional Chairman, and I made it clear to that person, that if there will be a bloodshed, it will not be in my region, we are posed for a peaceful democratic elections and we hope and we believe that the House, will lay down the right rules and regulations, that will ensure good governance, that will ensure smooth elections.” He said
The Bono East Regional Minister urged citizens to exercise their right to vote and participate in the democratic process peacefully. He also encouraged political parties to engage in constructive dialogue and avoid any actions that could incite violence or undermine the stability of the region.
Hon. Kwasi Adu-Gyan, further said the people of Bono East believes in the Fourth Republican dispensation and as such, will do everything to protect it.
“We believe that is possible for Ghana to advance in Democracy and in good governance, it can be done, Ghanaians are ready, both the young and the old knows that this democracy, is the way to go.
“We have nowhere to go, this is our country and we believe that with the democratic principles and practices that the Fourth Republican constitution has clearly laid down for us, we know that we have a very brighter future.
