Veteran Ghanaian Gospel Musician, Edward Akwasi Boateng, has shared his secrets for living a long life.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Elvis Anokye TV on Youtube, Edward Akwasi Boateng revealed that the key to a long life is to depend on God while following God’s principles and commandments.

The veteran gospel musician, recently caused a stir online when he was spotted at a bus station in Kumasi selling pen drives and Compact Discs (CDs) that contain his songs.

Edward Akwasi Boateng, had earlier came out to disclose how his wife maltreated and subjected him to unfair treatment due to his inability to meet her financial demands.

Despite all those challenges, the 54 year old musician still looks strong and active and has attributed his good physical condition to living a life that is dedicated to the services of the Most High God.

“The secret is that I have devoted myself to the services of Jesus Christ, I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t womanize, I don’t smoke nor do I take any hard drug, I have distanced myself from any activity that will weaken my body.

“I gave my life to Jesus Christ when I was nine years and currently, I am 54 years. A sister of a blessed memory, she invited me to church at Grace Baptist, during the service I decided not to end up in hell but rather in Heaven. So since then, I have dedicated my life to the service of God and His Kingdom.”

According to him, the notion that Jesus will never come again because it has been years since His second coming was first heard of  is unfortunate.

“The notion that if Jesus will come he would have arrived by now is a very bad, I accepted Jesus when I was nine years, so it has been 45 years since I heard Jesus was coming and I still believe in that, if anything, I know that I won’t live up to 200 years and if I die today, judgement awaits me. So once we die, we will face God’s judgement so we don’t have to wait for Jesus to come before we believe in Him.

“We must believe in Jesus now and repent because one way or the other, we will face his judgment.” He advised

Edward Akwasi Boateng’s message is a call to action for people to re-examine their lifestyles and make positive changes. By avoiding harmful habits and focusing on their spiritual well-being, individuals can increase their chances of living a long and meaningful life.
