Dr. Isaac Adeabsah donates gh¢30,000 to support 60 BECE graduates in Nante

The Chief Executive Officer of GRATIS Foundation and Bono East Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Isaac Adeabsah, has donated GH¢30,000 to support 60 BECE graduates from Nante in the Kintampo South District as they prepare to begin their Senior High School education.

The gesture, according to Dr. Adeabsah is part of his personal commitment to giving back to society particularly to the community where he was born and raised. According to him, the donation is meant to encourage the students to pursue higher education with confidence and determination despite the challenges that come with their geographical location.

During his visit, Dr. Adeabsah delivered an inspiring address to students, parents, teachers, and community members. He shared his personal journey as proof of the limitless potential that lies within every child, regardless of background.

“I am standing before you not as someone who had it easy, but as someone who never allowed his rural background to limit his aspirations.

“I was born and raised right here in this village. I sat under the same trees, walked the same dusty roads, and faced the same challenges. But I made a conscious decision not to let my environment define my future.” He said.

He congratulated the 60 students for securing placement into various Senior High Schools across the country and acknowledged the efforts of parents, teachers, and community members in nurturing their dreams.

The Chief Executive Officer of GRATIS Foundation presented a cash donation of GH¢30,000 to directly support the educational needs of the beneficiaries, including the purchase of essential items and provisions for their transition into boarding school.

He also used the occasion to highlight his academic and professional achievements as an example of what determination and education can achieve. His credentials include Teacher’s Cert “A”, BSc in Renewable Natural Resources, MSc in Organization Development, LLB, LLM, MBA in Strategic Management, and a PhD in Social Administration, with a second PhD in Business Administration currently ongoing.

“Education is the most powerful equalizer. If I could come from this same village and work my way through multiple academic disciplines, so can you. Let your dreams be louder than your fears. Let your vision be stronger than your challenges.”

Dr. Isaac Adeabsah urged the students to remain disciplined, focused, and resilient, reminding them that while the road ahead might be tough, it would be rewarding.

Community leaders, parents, and teachers in Nante expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Adeabsah for his generosity and unwavering commitment to educational development. They described his gesture as timely and inspiring, especially for young people in rural areas who often face financial and motivational barriers to furthering their education.

Dr. Adeabsah reaffirmed his dedication to promoting education and youth empowerment in underserved communities. He appealed to government, NGOs, and private individuals to invest in the future of rural students, emphasizing that they hold the key to Ghana’s transformation.

“Never forget where you come from, but let where you come from fuel your desire to go further.” He stated.
