The Vice President of Ghana and 2024 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, says he is confident that God will grant him a brighter future in his political career.
The Vice President said this during this year’s Watch Night service at Lighthouse Chapel International. Dr. Bawumia took the opportunity to thank God for ensuring peaceful elections in Ghana while praising the personality of Bishop Dag Heward-Mills.
According to him, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills never ceases to amaze him with his exemplary character.
Dr. Bawumia and the NPP lost the 2024 by a huge margin to NDC’s John Dramani Mahama but he remains optimistic about a brighter future.
I am very delighted and I would like to thank Bishop Dag, who is an amazing, an amazing man of God. Bishop Doug is someone who never ceases to amaze me. He’s truly blessed, and we thank God for his life.
We have gone through an election and I want to thank God for his blessings to myself and to the country, Ghana.
The book of Thessalonians, chapter 5, verse 18, tells us that in all things, give thanks to God and for me, I have an abiding faith in the Lord, so for what he has done for us, we are giving thanks to him. I know and I believe that God has a plan for me for greater and better things in the future.
