The Techiman St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Cathedral Administrator, Rev. Father James Annor Ohene, has reaffirmed popular Biblical scriptures Blessed are those who die in the Lord”.
He emphasized that through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, death as we know it has transformed from an end to a transition from the earthly state of life into a more elevated, elegant state of eternal existence.
He made this assertion at an Easter picnic organized by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Techiman at the St. Paul’s Junior High School park in the Techiman South Municipality of the Bono East Region.
“There would have been no Christianity if Jesus didn’t resurrected and there will be no salvation if there is no Christianity, that’s why St. Paul said in 1st Corinthians 15, that if Christ wasn’t risen from death, then there would have been no resurrection for us too but because Christ has risen, anyone who believes in Him will also rise from death.”
“We all thought that death was the end of everything but through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have come to realize that, death is not the end of everything, death does not end life but it has become a transition from one state of life, the earthly state of life into a more elevated, elegant state of life. He said
Rev. Father James Annor Ohene, explained that Christianity beliefs is enshrined in the victory of life over death, hope over despair, and eternal salvation through faith in Christ.
He encourages believers to view death not as a finality, but as a doorway to a new, glorious life in the presence of God, where pain, suffering, and sin are transformed into joy, peace, and righteousness.
“If Christians really understand this scripture, w3 won’t cry nor be sad when our love ones die, because Revelation 14:13 says from henceforth, Blessed are those who die in the Lord.
” So death has niw become blessing, so the significance of Easter is that there is a radical change in the nature of death, the nature of death has been revolutionize, death does not end life, death is not a distraction of life but death is a transition because of the resurrection of Christ.
