Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer, David Adedeji Adeleke widely known as Davido has purchased the largest purpose-built private jet which cost him $75 million.
The purchase of Bombardier Global 7500 means Davido is now the owner of three private Jets which is on top of Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu (Burna Boy), and Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (Wizkid).
In a Facebook post, Davido’s fan indicated that Afrobeats Super star has proved he is the richest Nigerian artist.
According to him, Burna Boy, Wizkid and others brust in to tears as Davido is now three private Jets owner.
“After Wizkid acquire 1million Diamond Chain days ago, Afrobeats Super star Davido proves he is the richest Nigerian artist as he splashed million dollars on a brand new private jet. Burna Boy, Wizkid and others brust in to tears as Davido is now three private Jets owner. 001 for a reason” He posted.
Bombardier Global 7500 being the world’s longest-ranged private aircraft, the jet can fly up to 14 hours across 7,700 nautical miles on routes like New York to Tel Aviv and Los Angeles to Sydney, per Bombardier.
While it can’t quite break the speed of sound, the jet flies at .925 Mach and can fly between New York and Los Angeles in as little as three and a half hours.
The plane was recently popularized by Louis Vuitton CEO Bernard Arnault when he sold it to avoid jet-tracking Twitter accounts. The world’s 2nd-richest man, Louis Vuitton’s CEO, sold his private jet after people started tracking it on Twitter: ‘No one can see where I go’.
On 17 December 2023, Burna Boy purchased a new private jet worth $2 billion.
