The Danamos Professional Medicine Canter Assistant College, has held its maiden graduation ceremony with the theme “Embracing Excellence, Igniting Change.”
The event took place at the campus of Valley View University cin Techiman on Sunday January 21, 2024.
Medicine counter assistants are pharmacies that support pharmacies at hospital and drug stores and Danamos Professional Medicine counter assistant College is the only school in Bono East region that trains people on medications.
During the ceremony, the school’s director, Madam Comfort Nana Dankwa, emphasized that the college is the best place to learn about pharmaceutical work because the school has professional lecturers that teach the students on how to give medicine to patients.
According to her, it is certified by the government to train Medicine Canter Assistance and therefore urges the general public to make good use of the institution since one source of income is not guaranteed enough for financial independence.
“Danamos Professional College, is a school that trains MCA, Medicine Canter Assistance so I will urge all and sundry to come and enroll in the school because we don’t do one work again now a days, if you are a doctor you must get an additional job, if you are a nurse or a teacher, you must get an additional job since only one certificate can’t sustain you. She said,
“The theme of “Embracing Excellence, Igniting Change” suggests a focus on promoting high standards of professionalism and innovation within the pharmaceutical field.” She told our reporter.
Speaking to Classic FM News reporter, Esther Antwi Adjei, Madam Dankwa stated that school have accommodation for students outside Techiman with a flexible mode of paying tuition fees, Madam Comfort Nana Dankwa further disclosed that, the institution offers a credible certificate to its students after completion which makes it very easy for them to secure a job.
“If you complete Danamos Professional College, you will get a certificate from the government, a certificate from the Pharmaceutical council of Ghana and that will help you to get a job at any health facility being hospitals, clinics, and chemical shops including many others.” She said
She further urged SHS leavers to take advantage of the school and learn pharmacy work and they will never regret it because after completion your work is assured because their certificate is awarded from the medical council of Ghana.
The Bono East Regional Chairperson for Medical Canter Assistants, Mr. Hayford Mensah speaking to classic news lauded Danamos for establishing this school to train people into the profession, he urged people who want to operate drug stores and pharmaceutical shops to take advantage of the school.
“We are very happy because we now have a Medicine Canter School in Techiman, so I will encourage those that have their own drug stores and pharmacy shops to enroll in the school because it will help them a lot, the certificate the school awards is very important and has a lot of value worldwide in this profession.”
“I will also use this opportunity to congratulate the grandaunts and will encouraged them to be bold in discharging the knowledge they have acquired in the school at their various work places, they are now professionals and therefore must exhibit professional traits in their field of work.” He said
