In a press release issued on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, the Department explained that a technical hitch occurred during the final payroll run for the month, making it impossible to process the affected allowances on schedule.

According to CAGD, the decision to pause the processing of the allowances was taken to prevent any disruption in the timely payment of November salaries for all Government of Ghana workers.
