The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has announced its list of 2024 nominees for the PFA Player of the Year award.

Chelsea’s star boy Cole Jermaine Palmer, has made the cut and he will be competing for the award with five (5) other sensational talents in the English Premier League.

Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, Manchester City trio Hil Foden, Erling Haaland and Rodrigo Hernández Cascante will all be competing for this year’s PFA Players’ player of the year.

The PFA Player of the Year award is one of the most coveted individual honors in English football, recognizing the outstanding contributions made by a player throughout the season under review.

The 2024 PFA awards ceremony will be held at the Manchester Opera House on Tuesday 20 August where the winners will be announced.

Palmer is nominated after enjoying a stellar debut campaign for Chelsea that followed his £42.5million switch from Manchester City on transfer deadline day last summer, also notching 27 goals and registering 15 assists in 48 total appearances.

Cole Palmer, who won Chelsea’s Player of the Season as well as Premier League Young Player of the Season, will be looking forward to add the PFA Players’ Player to the Year to his cabinet

The Professional Footballers’ Association Men’s Players’ Player of the Year is an annual award given to the player who is adjudged to have been the best of the year in English football.

The award has been presented since the 1973–74 season and the winner is chosen by a vote amongst the members of the players’ trade union, the Professional Footballers.

Past winners include some of the greatest players in the history of the sport, and Cole Palmer’s nomination solidifies his place among the elite.
