Media personality, Bridget Otoo has called on Ghanaians to focus on people who are misappropriating state funds and causing financial loss to the state and leave Chef Ebenezer Smith, popularly known as Chef Smith.

She said Chef Smith’s apology together with his family clearly indicates that he has deeply regretted disgracing Ghanaians and the Chef Association of Ghana so Ghanaians should accept his apology and move on and deal with nation wreckers.

Bridget Otoo’s comment comes after Chef Smith was seen in a video on his knees with tears alongside two women pleading for forgiveness after faking a cook-a-thon attempt.

He explained that though he applied for the Guinness World Records of longest cooking marathon by an individual but the officials didn’t approve him,. This Chef Smith stated that has committed a big sin and he doesn’t even deserve to live but Ghanaians should forgive him.

According to the outspoken media personality, she feels for chef Smith.

“The apology with his family looks genuine. I feel for him now. At least he’s apologized, we can move on and deal with those chopping tax payer money” Bridget Otoo wrote.

The broadcast journalist believes chasing government officials who use taxpayers money for their personal interest is more important since it will enhance national development than discussing chef Smith’s fake certificate.

Bridget Otoo is not the only person who has raised concerns about the need for the country to focus on politicians and other government officials who are taking advantage of the vulnerable Ghanaians to enrich themselves.

Chef Smith’s conduct has raised many discussions as a lot of people are also questioning why Kwame Owusu Fordjour, widely known as Dr. UN who also presented fake certificates to prominent people in Ghana including Sarkodie, D-Black, Bella Mundi, members of the academia and some politicians.
