The Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Kwasi Adu Gyan, has publicly praised Kintampo Fanyinama, Masaaba Sariki Fanyinama III, for his outstanding contributions to peace and unity in the Kintampo North Municipality.
Hon. Adu Gyan commended Fanyinama for successfully fostering stable peace in Kintampo, which has significantly enhanced the well-being and harmony of the area.
“I am here to thank you for the peace and unity that you have brought to Kintampo, Kintampo has been peaceful but that wasn’t so some years back. Nana Fanyinama I thank you for the peace talk that you gave to us on unity, peace, and diversity.
“It is important to leave in peace and unity with one another, it is important for us to be tolerant, it is important for us to work together because we have a common destiny.” He said.
The Regional Minister explained that, the NPP led government has been able to undertake a lot of developmental projects in Kintampo due to the peace and stability in Kintampo. The Minister ceased the occasion to highlight some of the developmental projects the government has completed in the area.
“You will all agree with me that for the four (4) years that I have been the Regional Minister, you have seen a lot of improvement here. One of them is the upgrading of the College of Health. You know that government after government have not been able to do that but when Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo came here and Nana Fanyinama made that urgent request, your request was granted.
“As I stand here today, you are aware that the last milestone for the upgrading of the Kintampo College of Health into full fledged university, which will be called the University of Health, Agriculture, and Applied Science will soon be completed as all the necessary documentations have been done.
“You are also aware that Kintampo now stands in the way of getting two military barracks. Two battalions, one for engineering an done for artilleries. It is unprecedented to have two battalions at the same time, this has become possible to to the good works of President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.” The Minister disclosed.
Hon. Kwasi Adu Gyan, also touched on the achievements of the NPP government in terms of road infrastructure in the Bono East Region. He also promised Masaaba Sariki Fanyinama III, that the next NPP government will build an ultramodern market for the good people of Kintampo
“In the Bono East region, we have four (4) major highways, we have Kintampo to Prang, we have Atebubu to Kojokrom, Busunya to Atebubu and Kintampo to New Longolo. As I am talking to you know, we have tarred three highways and the Kintampo to New Longolo highway is in the process to be awarded to a contractor.
“I think after that, all our highways in the Bono East region will be tarred, so I think we are on the course for the development of our region.” He said.
Hon. Adu Gyan continued, “Nana you also mentioned about the market complex, Nana I am promising and assuring you that this market complex is keen to your Municipal Chief Executive and if you vote for the Dr. Bawumia and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, the market complex will be established, and you can even see that works have begun on the market project as we speak.”
