The Bono East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Baba Bukari Ibrahim, popularly known as Chairman IB, has reassured the public about the New Patriotic Party’s committed to a peaceful election in the Bono East region.
Chairman Ibrahim, explained that the regional security council, peace council, and all relevant stakeholders have ensured a peaceful electoral process, and the NPP is working closely with them to ensure that this year’s elections will be violence free.
He made this assertion during a mega rally in Tuobodom, where he joined the Techiman North NPP parliamentary candidate for his final mega peace walk ahead of the December polls.
“I don’t think there will be any intimidation in this region, I am youth and also a security expect and I will always choose peace over violence so I will urge everybody to go to the polls peaceful.
“We the NPP respects the views and ideas of others, we are tolerant and I want to reassure everybody that, we as a party will not do anything that will threaten the peace of this country.” He told the media.
Chairman Ibrahim Baba, urged members of the National Democratic Congress as well as members of the New Patriotic Party to respect the electoral laws come December 7th and abide by the directives of the security personnel and electoral officers at the various polling stations
“All I will tell our family in the NDC is that we all should respect the electoral laws, we should abide by what the 1992 constitution says about the elections and I believe that by so doing, we will have a peaceful elections.
