Bono East: Hon. Prince Opoku Mensah represents regional Minister at National Conference of Directors of Education in Sunyani

The Bono East Regional Political Affairs Coordinator, Hon. Prince Opoku Mensah, earlier today represented Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi at the National Conference of Directors of Education held in Sunyani.

The annual conference, organized by the Ghana Education Service (GES) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, brought together Regional and District Directors of Education from across the country to deliberate on improving leadership, accountability, and the overall quality of education delivery in Ghana.

This year’s meeting focused on strengthening management systems within the pre-tertiary education sector and finding sustainable solutions to challenges affecting effective teaching and learning in schools.

The conference saw the participation of several dignitaries including the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Addae Akwaboah, the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Dr. Eric Nkansah, Hon. Eric Adjei, including many others.

Speaking on behalf of the Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi, Hon. Prince Opoku Mensah explainedd the need for strong regional collaboration to ensure that education policies are effectively implemented to impact students at the grassroots level. He also reaffirmed Bono East’s commitment to supporting government initiatives aimed at enhancing access, equity, and quality in education.

Over the years, the Conference of Directors of Education has served as an important platform for reviewing progress in the education sector, addressing administrative bottlenecks, and sharing best practices among education directors nationwide.

This year’s edition in Sunyani once again underscored the government’s commitment to continuous improvement in Ghana’s education system through effective leadership and partnership at all administrative levels.
