The Bono East Regional Office of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) says it is fully equipped and ready to begin operating a 24-hour service system as part of efforts to support government’s 24-hour economy initiative.

According to the Regional Manager, Mr. Alfred Basum, the initiative an innovation by the national leadership of the DVLA will enable the Authority to serve the public beyond its usual working hours, making it easier and more convenient for clients to access services at any time of the day.

“In line with the President’s vision of a 24-hour economy, the management of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is introducing a 24-hour service policy. This means that beginning in 2026, the current 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. working hours will be extended, allowing us to continue serving our cherished customers beyond regular hours.

“The Bono East Regional Office of the DVLA is fully prepared for this transition to a 24-hour service. We have adequate facilities and dedicated staff ready to serve our customers.” He told our reporter.

He further revealed that the Authority will soon begin stakeholder engagements to brief clients and partners on how the new system will operate. He noted that the 24-hour service will not be limited to Bono East alone but will be rolled out across all regional DVLA offices nationwide

“However, we will soon engage our clients and stakeholders to provide more details about the rollout of this initiative not only in the Bono East Region but across all DVLA operational centers, particularly in the various regional capitals.”

The Bono East Regional Office of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority disclosed that while the DVLA continuously strives to offer efficient service delivery, the week-long celebration provides an additional opportunity for the Authority to demonstrate gratitude to its customers by enhancing their experience and satisfaction.

“Customer Service Week is a global celebration held every October to recognize and appreciate customers of institutions that provide public and private services.

“During this special week, we go the extra mile to make our customers happier and more comfortable by improving our service delivery and exceeding their expectations”
