The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabagya North constituency in the Ashanti region of Ghana, Hon Frank Yeboah, popularly known as Adwuma Wura, has stated that youth empowerment is his top priority as the representative of the constituency.
Hon. Frank Yeboah further revealed that improving the standard of education, providing apprenticeship training and promoting entrepreneurship are key areas he will focus on as he seeks to boost job creation and significantly reduce, if not eradicate, unemployment in his constituency and Ghana as a whole.
According to him, even before being elected as a Member of Parliament, he contributed significantly to the development of Atwima Nwabagya North in areas such as education, transportation, and healthcare.
“Even before I was voted as the Member of Parliament, a bridge at Aboaboso had collapsed, and I took the initiative to reconstruct it.
“The bridge served as a vital link between Koforidua and Akropong. When it was damaged, schoolchildren struggled to cross the water, making it difficult for them to attend school. However, now that I have fixed the bridge, they can go to their respective schools without any challenges.
“It was through my initiatives that the first pharmaceutical facility in Atwima Nwabiagya was established.” He said.
Hon Frank Yeboah is among the newly elected Members of Parliament during the December 7th elections in 2024 and is a former Director of Procurement at the National Health Insurance Authority. He has assured his constituents of his commitment to implementing more developmental projects to improve their lives.
Hon. Yeboah continued: “I encouraged schools in the constituency to organize spelling bee competitions, which we hold three times a year. This initiative promotes reading among students and has significantly improved their English proficiency.
“I have also provided startup kits for apprentices and covered the fees of some individuals in the constituency to help them pursue nursing education. My vision is to support the training of at least a few doctors who will be natives of this constituency within the next ten years.”
