A former drug addict turned pastor, Mr. Isaiah, popularly known as Arafat, has publicly declared that aside salvation, Islam is superior to Christianity.
Arafat, who was born a Muslim to a Muslim father and a Christian mother, said this during an interview on Elvis Anokye TV on YouTube as he cited widespread corruption among church leaders as the primary reason for his assertion.
According to him, Islam offers a more authentic and less corrupted path compared to Christianity. Isaiah disclosed that many pastors are more focused on material gain than on spiritual guidance, which is deeply troubling.
“My birth name is Arafat Dramani, I was born a Muslim, but my parents separated when I was very young, I stayed with my mother who was a Christian and as a result, I was converted into a Christian and that is why I am now called Isaiah.
“My father used to tell me that he would have been living a comfortable life if I remained a Muslim and I think he is right. Muslims are really supportive to the extent that someone can even buy a car for you just to marry his daughter or convert into Muslim but that is not the case in Christianity.
“Aside salvation, I will choose Islam over Christianity because Islam as a region understands the way of life, they support each other just as the Bible said in Acts that whatever we have belongs to church.
“A Muslim understands that whatever he or she has belongs to Islam so they think about the welfare of each other but unfortunately, that is not the same in Christianity. Aside from all the wealth of some pastors, they will still demand a huge amount of money from their congregation just to pray for them.” He said.
Isaiah disclosed that most of the pastors he has been following are not true men of God but rather individuals who tend to exploit the naivety of Christians to gain wealth.
“I didn’t see such behavior on the part of any Malam when I was a Muslim, I have followed a lot of pastors and I have realized that 90% of them are scammers. They are more dangerous than a person sitting behind a computer to scam people.
“Such pastors will not rob you, but they can convince you to give them your brand new car by telling you that it is the will of God that you give him that Car.”
He however stressed that salvation is the hallmark of Christianity and advised Christians not to follow their pastors but rather the word of God.
