Kumasi Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of two sudanese as part of the club’s rebuilding ahead of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.

The new players, forward AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub and defender Esmat Hassabalbagi from The Hay Alwady of Sudan and Al Hilal respectively are on a a year contract with a club option of a permanent deal.

According to a report, former Black Stars coach who is currently Sudan coach, Kwasi Appiah who is part of Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee made the recommendations.

“A new addition in defence! We are delighted to announce the signing of left-back, Esmat Hassabalbagi, from Al Hilal on a year-long deal with a club option of a permanent contract. The newest addition to the PORCUPINE family: AbdoelKarem AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub. The Hay Alwady of Sudan striker joins us on a year contract with a club option of a permanent deal” Asante Kotoko announced the new players.

It is said that the Kotoko Players are part of the squad to face their counterpart, Hearts of Oak in the Democracy Cup on July, 17, 2024.

Asante Kotoko rebuilding comes after the club parted ways with over 22 players following their abysmal performance in the last season.

The Porcupine Warriors finished the 2023.24 season in sixth position.

Meanwhile, the club is expected to welcome another new players ahead of the next Ghana football season.
