Entertainment journalist and pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has described the statement issued by the General Overseer of the Royal Victory Family Church, Apostle Solomon Oduro announcing dissolution of his marriage to renowned marriage counselor Rev. Charlotte Oduro as an ill intention.
According to him, Apostle Oduro intentionally issued the statement to hurt Rev. Charlotte Oduro because of her position as a marriage Counselor.
“We were not aware of the back and front of their marital issues, there are a lot of prominent people who have divorced their marriage and we are not aware. Until Apostle Solomon Oduro issued the statement, we were not aware of their issues so for me, I have a strong conviction that the Apostle issued the statement with ill intention.” Arnold Asamoah stated on United Showbiz.
“Because between the two, Rev. Charlotte is more popular than the Apostle, if not the woman, their divorce will not make any headlines. So in actual sense, this is supposed to hurt the woman. Because like I am saying, if not for the statement their divorce will not come into public domain like this, so the release makes the woman look bad because of her position as a Counselor. So the Apostle felt like I should issue this statement to hurt her because of her position and her career path as a marriage counselor.” He added.
He also advised Rev. Charlotte Oduro to remain calm and take a break in her counselling work to recover from what has happened.
“Counselor Charlotte should remain calm and avoid public reactions and focus on her life. Again, my advice to the Counselor is that she should not rush to do Counselling for now, she should take a break to recover. What has happened is very unfortunate but it will serve as a material for her Counselling job.” The entertainment pundit advised.
In the statement, Apostle Solomon Oduro said “the couple has been separated for the past three years, and after further reflection and guidance, they officially dissolved their marriage traditionally last year. Despite multiple efforts at settlement, irreconcilable differences have necessitated this move.”
“As a man of God, a public figure, and a role model to many, Apostle Solomon Oduro considers it his duty to officially communicate this development to the public to prevent misinformation, speculation, or undue controversy. He humbly requests that this sensitive transition be met with understanding.”
