Ghanaian Kumawood actor Big Akwes has caused controversies on the internet with his widespread allegations about the people from the Ashanti Regional Capital, Kumasi.
According to the actor, anyone born or grown up in Kumasi is a scammer.
He claimed scamming is a hereditary tradition in Kumasi and anyone who bathes or drinks in the Subin river has automatically possessed the spirit of scamming.
Speaking on Angel TV, Big Akwes stressed that because of the nature of how the people from Kumasi are scammers, all pastors from Kumasi are false and scammers.
“Anyone born and raised in Kumasi is a scammer. I am saying anyone who grew up in Kumasi has scamming blood in him. From generation to pastors. Can’t you see Pastors from Kumasi are scammers? I am saying that. Big Akwes I am saying this without any excuses. So far as you were bathed with water in Kumasi (Subin), if you like it or not, you will possess the spirit of scamming.” Big Akwes claimed.
He indicated that the way people are robbing others at Kejetia and changing people’s phones show the true character of Kumasi people.
“When you go to Kejetia, how people are robbing people, changing their phones and all that are those from Kumasi. What I am saying has nothing to do with your TV station, Big Akwes is saying.” He added.
Meanwhile, Big Akwes has denied claims regarding his collapsed marriage.
According to him, it is not proper to discuss his private issues in the public.
His comment comes after Freda, his ex-wife, stated that her biggest challenge was marrying the actor.
