American based Nollywood actor, Pere Egbi via his twitter page has lambasts married men for going after another women even after doing fancy weddings.
He has caused a heated argument on social media with his comment, where he tackled married men who, after showing off ostentatious weddings, turn to biggest cheaters. The actor, in a now-viral post, questioned the mindset of husbands who spend huge amounts on lavish weddings, only for them to turn unfaithful.
He went on to say, *”Dear married men, stop cheating on your wives!!!! Una go do expensive wedding finish, but you can’t be faithful?”* His statement, it seemed, had a directly pointed effect on such men who, notwithstanding such a huge public commitment, fail to honor their marital vows.
Pere didn’t stop there. He went further to advise the married among them to focus on their homes and the families they’ve built rather than elsewhere for satisfaction. His call for faithfulness hit home, indeed, with a mixed reaction in fans.
Some men in the comment section tried to argue their way out by saying that it is not a one-way street, as women also cheat. Still, Pere pointed at the men. A fan commented, *”It’s not just men, women do it too. The conversation should go both ways,“* hereby stirring up the discussion on the issue.
While ladies in the comments were on Pere’s side, some fans urged Pere to go ahead and talk his mind on the issue. Many agreed with his sentiments, as the man should keep vows and let respect be accorded to the marriage institution.
