Former President John Dramani Mahama, says the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government, needs to be held accountable for all the hardship it has subjected the people of Ghana into.
Speaking at the Bawku Naba’s palace during his campaign tour of the Upper East Region, the NDC flagbearer, accused the NPP led government of state capture as well as implementing policies that have brought untold hardship in the country. He emphasized that the government must be held accountable for the suffering it has inflicted upon Ghanaians.
“We need to hold this government accountable for the hardship, the crisis that they have subjected Ghana to, for the state capture that they have implemented in Ghana over the last eight years, buying every state property, buying all the government lands, amassing wealth to themselves.” He said
Adding his voice to the ongoing ‘Agyapadie’ document controversy, John Dramani Mahama said the content of the document cannot be taken lightly since all that was said in the document is currently being implemented by the sitting government.
“Recently there was an issue about a document called Agyapadie, they said it is fabricated but even if it is fabricated, the implementation is not fabricated because everything that is written in that document has been implemented.
The 38-page document, which has no identified author, prominently features the Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin on the cover photo, followed by President Nana Akufo-Addo and his late father on the subsequent page.
Although President Akufo-Addo, during his speech at the Ghana Report Summit under the theme ‘Dealing with Misinformation and Disinformation in the Upcoming Election’ claimed that the ‘Agyapadie’ document is an orchestrated document to tarnish his image and that of the NPP ahead of the 2024 election.
John Dramani Mahama is of the view that the NPP government must answer questions pertaining to the controversial ‘Agyapadie’ document.
