Kunsuhene Nana Dr Agyemang Badu Duah I has supported Kunsu Health Centre in the Ahafo Ano South District of  the Ashanti region with equipment.

The health equipment included 15 modern beds, 15 mattresses and beds, 3 sets of 35 flat screen TVs, drips stand and other items worth GHC 320,000.

The donation came after his wife Actress Oheneyere Dr Mercy Asiedu Agyemang Duah visited the facility due to illness and identified challenges facing the Health centre.

According to him, it is very sad that the health centre is in that situation, hence the donation to promote service delivery.

“I realised that the hospital lacks a lot of equipment such as drip stands, hospital beds and others when I visited here, so all these form part of the reason I came here to support them.” Nana Agyemang Badu Duah I said.

He emphasized the need for stakeholders to collaborate effectively and effectively with the government on development especially in areas of health and education.

The traditional ruler lamented how people mismanage government properties and advised them to handle the equipment like their own properties.

“Sometimes it is very pathetic that people mismanage government properties because the money is not coming from their pockets. Don’t say that the money is not coming from your pocket so you won’t take good care of it. Especially, the public workers, they should handle the equipment and materials they are using at their workplaces as their own properties.” He advised.

Acting Ahafo Ano South West District Health Director, Mr Michael Owusu Kwakye empowered the staff to cultivate a culture of maintenance to boost sustainability and save purse.

For his part, Ahafo Ano South West Constituency Parliamentary Candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hon Elvis Duah Dapaah (OKUMKOM), expressed his appreciation to Nana Dr Agyemang Badu Duah I for the support.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, Hon Joseph Frimpong Bonsu said the government is on course of the Agenda 111 project at Kunsu and commended the chief for the support.
