The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arrested Nigerian socialite Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky again at Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos and detained him.
Bobrisky was again arrested on Thursday when he announced his departure from Nigeria to London.
Announcing his arrest, Bobrisky wrote on his Instagram that he has been badly injured and called on Nigerians to help him.
“Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured.” He wrote.
It is not clear what crime Bobrisky has committed this time around but Elvisanokyenews.com earlier reported that Bobrisky may face 14 years jail term over his activities at the time he was serving during his six months imprisonment and other illegal issues.
Bobrisky who was sentenced to six months imprisonment without the option of a fine for abusing naira notes by spraying them at parties was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
Moreover, Bobrisky was earlier intercepted at the Sème border by the Nigerian Immigration while allegedly attempting to flee Nigeria.’
Claims that Bobrisky paid 15 million Naira to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials to end money laundering charges are under investigations.
It was alleged in audio recording posted by VeryDarkMan that he paid top-rank prison officials to secure a private prison outside the Kirikiri prison. But the controversial man has denied the claims.
