The Chief of Wenchi Nkyiraa in the Bono region of Ghana, Odeneho Sene-Akofena Tabiri Yaw lll, has called on the people of Nkyiraa to collaborate for development of the community.
According to him, Nkyriaa is one of the oldest traditional communities in the Bono Kingdom and needs massive development to match their status. Odeneho Sene-Akofena Tabiri Yaw lll, revealed that, although Nkyriaa is developing but the community can only develop at the pace they want when they continue to leave in peace and harmony.
Odeneho Sene-Akofena Tabiri Yaw lll, said this during the celebration of the celebrations of the Fofie Kesse Yam Festival.
“The people of Nkyiraa are among the first people to settle in the erstwhile Brong Ahafo Region, the people of Nkyiraa have remain committed to the development of the Bono Kingdom and we will always do our best to ensure the development of all the Bono Communities.
“Nkyiraa is developing and I thank you all for that but we can only develop Nkyiraa to the level we want when we continue to leave in peace and harmony. There is no need for the people of Nkyiraa to fight among ourselves, we should rather come together and fight towards a common goal.” He said
Odeneho Sene-Akofena Tabiri Yaw lll, expressed ceased the occasion to thank all the chiefs dignitaries including both residents and indigents of NKyiraa that showed up for the celebration and solicit for support from the Bono Regional House of Chiefs as he seeks to develop his community
“We are very grateful to all those that have helped Nkyiraa to be recognized among the Bono regions, we are very grateful to you, Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II, for your consistent support.” Odeneho Sene-Akofena Tabiri Yaw lll, said.
The President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Nana Freduah Agyemang Badu II, who was the Chairperson of the occasion, expressed his profound gratitude to all the Paramount Chiefs in the erstwhile Brong Ahafo Region for gracing the occasion.
According to him, the presence of the Paramount Chiefs is testament that the Bono communities are gearing up towards development through unity and harmony.
Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Nana Freduah Agyemang Badu II, pledged to support the elevation of Wenchi Nkyiraa to paramountcy. Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II emphasized the significance of Nkyiraa as one of the oldest communities in the Bono kingdom, underscoring its rich history and cultural heritage.
He urged all Bono people and chiefs to unite and work towards a common goal. Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II vowed to support Nkyiraa’s growth and recognition.
“All the Chiefs in the Bono region have come to agreement that, the Nkyriaa stool is a very powerful one and it is backed by a rich history and we have all decided to elevate your status to that of a Paramount Chief.
“I want the people of Nkyiraa to know that, we the Chiefs of the Bono region of which I am the President, will not rest until you have been elevate to the status of Paramouncy.
“There are a lot of Chiefs in the Bono Region that should be elevated and it is my promise to you during the celebration of your Yam Festival, that I will elevate all those chiefs which includes you in my second tenure as the President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs.” Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II, pledged.
He also promised to aid Nkyiraa in various development initiatives. The President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, called for unity among the Bono people and chiefs to achieve common goal.
