Dwomor Onuado Kroye Kuo, a community-based organization in the Techiman South Municipality of the Bono East region, has organized a cleanup exercise in the principal streets of Dwomor.
The initiative is part of the association’s activities leading up to its official launch on Sunday, 27th October 2024.
The association’s launch is expected to attract over 500 people to the Dwomor Good Shepherd School, including dignitaries like the Member of Parliament for Techiman South, who doubles as the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, DC Parliamentary Candidate for Techiman South, Christopher Beyere, Techiman South DCE, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, and many others.
Aside from the cleanup exercise, the Dwomor Onuado Kroye Kuo, also donated to the Frankmay New Life Foundation, demonstrating its commitment to giving back to the community.
Speaking to newsmen after the donation, the President of the association, who doubles as the queen mother of Techiman Nana Abena Market, Rebecca Kwartemaa, explained that, the donation to Frankmay New Life Foundation won’t be the last charity work the association will conduct.
According to her, the main aim of establishing the association is to help the needy in society, and as such, they will periodically donate to the foundation and the needy in society.
“Since the aim of our association is to help the needy, we are here to donate items such as soaps, toilet rolls, liquid soaps, clothes, drinks, and money, this will not be the last time we will visit this orphanage, we will at least once in a very month donate to the orphanage.
“We will not only be donating to this orphanage but rather to all those in our society who will need our help in one way or the other.” She said
Opoku Francis Kwame, who is the Vice President of the association, emphasized that the association is nonpartisan and does not tolerate discrimination of any kind.
He briefed the media about some of the dignitaries they would be accepting at the launching and ceased the occasion to extend an invitation to all and sundry to grace the occasion.
“God willing tomorrow, we will launch our association and as a result of that, we decided to conduct a cleanup exercise in the principal streets of Techiman Dwomor.
“After the cleanup, we have come to Frankmay New Life Foundation to donate some items and money to the foundation. The main aim of establishing this association is to help the needy, especially orphans and widows in our society hence our donation today. The launching will take place at Dwomor Good Shepherd School, behind the Christ Revival Church.
“The Onuado Kroye Kuo is not partisan nor do we discriminate, so we are inviting all and sundry to grace the occasion. We have invited the Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Techiman South, Christopher Beyere, Techiman South DCE, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, Nana Hansua Hemaa, Nana Asantewaa Munufie, Bono East Regional Chairpersons of both NPP and NDC including many other.
“The program will be chaired by Mr. Frempah, who is the C.E.O of New Leaf Hospital in Techiman.” He said.
On behalf of Frankmay New Life Foundation, Alice thanked the association for the generosity and as Oliver Twist, pleaded with the good people of Techiman and Ghana at large to continue with their support towards the foundation.
“We are very grateful for what Onuado Kroye Kuo has done for us, we pray for God’s blessings and protection upon them, it is our prayer that God will replenish their resources so that they can continue with their aim of helping the needy in the society.
“As an orphanage, we will need the support of the society to run our day-to-day activities, most of us are students and as such, will need money to settle tuition fees among others. We are very grateful to all our sponsors and those that remember us in prayers.” She said
