Ghanaian media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah has commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for improvement of road constructions in the country especially the school junction-motorway project.
She said good roads are important in every nation since they create many opportunities.
In her post on X, Nana Aba stated that good roads connect opportunities and open doors to education, health, and business for the citizens.
“Good roads don’t just connect places, they connect opportunities and open doors to education, health, and business for all. Kudos to this government for the school junction-motorway project.” The media personality wrote as she shared a video of the project on X.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in August, 2024 commissioned the School Junction-Borteyman-Motorway project which was initiated in August 2022.
The school junction-motorway project will help reduce traffic on Tema to West Accra and access to the newly constructed Borteyman stadium. People within the Adentan, Ashaley Botwe, School Junction, Nmai Dzor, Borteyman, and Community 18 areas will be connected to the opportunities.
This achievement of the government marks a significant milestone of the NPP efforts to solve road challenges in the country which affects economic growth and development.
The school junction-motorway project’s scope includes the construction of a 5.8km main dual carriageway, 5.8km of service lanes, a 1.68km access road to the Borteyman stadium, and the rehabilitation of the Tema Motorway slip roads.
The NPP government is poised to address the road challenges in the country.
As part of the government’s effort, President Akufo-Addo launched the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) initiative to ensure that every district benefits from good road infrastructure.
