Former Kenya’s Deputy President, Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua has broken his silence after the unprecedented impeachment.
He said President William Ruto is behind his impeachment.
Speaking after he was discharged from the hospital, Gachagua beg President Ruto to spare his life and his family.
According to him, the Kenya president has caused him enough pain after sacrificing him.
“You have failed us in kind by being so cruel against us, we are simple people, we are a very small family. Let us be, do whatever you want but please, Mr. President, I beg you, don’t kill us. You have caused me enough pains, please leave me alone, let me be, God will take care of me, I don’t want to have security, I don’t want to have drivers, I don’t want to have cars.” He said.
Rigathi Gachagua revealed that people tried to kill him before and now they have succeeded in impeaching him.
“Please allow me to have my peace, if nothing else, I remember I was here for you when you needed a man to be there for you, it is the course of the Law to uphold and protect our constitution. People have tried to kill us before, they have now tried to get us out of office, President William Ruto, my brother, I helped you to become a president, leave me alone, leave my children alone.” He lamented.
“Do whatever you want but let me leave to look after my children. You can do whatever you want me to do in the country but allow me to leave. Because I was there for you when you needed somebody to be there for you, when you were in trouble, you needed a man to stand with you, I stood with you with my family. You have paid us in kind.”
