Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli’s head coach Antonio Conte, has been named the Manager of the Month for September in Serie A.

This accolade comes after Conte led his team to a unbeaten record in September, winning two and drawing one in the three matches played during the month under review securing seven (7) points out of possible nine (9) points in the month.

I Partenopei under the guidance of Antonio Conte, started their September campaigner with a 4:0 away win at the Sardinia Arena against Cagliari Calcio. This marks the first time Napoli has led the league since their title-winning campaign two seasons ago.

Napoli’s current occupies the first position on the Serie A table with 13 points out of the possible 18 points played for so far in the season. Napoli has won 4 games, drew 1 and lost 1 in their first six games of the season which is a 72.22% winning percentage for the Italian Gaffer

The award was decided by a panel of sports journalists who evaluated coaches based on technical and sporting criteria, quality of play, and conduct during matches.

Antonio Conte is associated with the revival of three-man defensive formation in 2010s after it had seen limited use since it’s popularity in late 1990s Italian football.

With the Manager of the Month for September in Serie A award added to his individual accolades, Antonio Conte will be hoping to get a convincing win in front of their teeming supporters tomorrow as Napoli face Como at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona,
