Reports indicate that Erik Ten Hag is set to stay at Manchester United even after a significant loss to Spurs.
There have been some rumors that Man. United Manager Erik ten Hag will leave the club after a big loss to Spurs and their struggling in this season but he has shot down the reports.
Sources say Manchester United will maintain Erik ten Hag for their upcoming matches against Porto and Aston Villa this week despite suffering a disappointing loss to Tottenham at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The team is currently sitting in 12th place in the Premier League which gives the club bad image in the future tournaments.
Speaking in an interview after the 3-0 loss against Spurs, the Manager stated that he is not thinking about losing his job and his main focus is to make significant improvement in their next games.
“No I am not thinking about this. I think we are all met in togetherness this decision to stay together. But we have to improve as an organization to reach our target.” He said.
“We are all decision making body and we knew it would take some time because we are still have to do with some injuries and others. I think we will come back better so we need so time.” He stressed.
He said he and the owners are on the same page and they are working together.
Erik ten Hag secured a new contract over the summer, and just last month, club CEO Omar Berrada expressed that he had the organization’s complete support.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that the club’s leadership will meet to assess the situation before taking a drastic decision that will affect the club in the future.
