Dear NPP Stalwart,

Dear NPP Stalwart,

We, who have worked with and served our exceptional boss and leader, John Mahama, are proud of him, his record, and his commitment to our country, Ghana.

Like you in the NPP, John Mahama has blood running through his veins, a beating heart, and a family,a wife, children, grandchildren, and a large extended family and following.

Your government, led by then-candidate Akufo-Addo, now President of Ghana, has failed in all its executed attempts at maligning him with corruption.

In 2012, after the sad and unfortunate passing of Professor Mills, John Mahama went on to win the 2012 elections. The legitimacy of his victory was challenged by Akufo-Addo and Bawumia, who needlessly held Mahama to ransom for nine months. The rest, as we say, is history.

If we were to discuss the baseless and frivolous accusations made against Mr Mahama by your party and its leadership, we would likely have an entire thesis to present. These range from allegations against his wife, Lordina, awarding contracts to claims of corruption involving Ameri and Karpower ships and supposed properties in Dubai and other countries.

Almost eight years later, nothing has changed. Indeed, the Office of the Special Prosecutor was purposefully established to hound and prosecute John Mahama and his appointees. Who doesn’t know that thinking? After all was said and done, the first OSP told Akufo-Addo to fight corruption in his government instead of targeting John Mahama.

The second Special Prosecutor has ended an entirely useless, baseless, and frivolous investigation brought against Mahama by Akufo-Addo. This has come to an unsurprising but important conclusion, categorically stating that Mahama was exonerated and had done nothing wrong.

It appears that all of you in the corruption-ridden government of Akufo-Addo are now ashamed and disappointed. Mr. Stalwart, you ought to have known that this investigation was dead on arrival. It was concluded in the UK and the US, and the UK SFO itself told the government of Ghana exactly that.

Yet, you expended enormous energy and resources to pursue a decent and innocent man unrelentingly.

Today, your actions have been exposed by the carefully encapsulated ‘Agyapadiɛ document, which you are now running away from. The document describes the story of uncanny greed, corruption, and nepotism, with undercurrents of ethnocentric politics.

That document also describes an air of superiority, which has become evident as it was described, dovetailing into the ongoing state capture by members of government, functionaries, the president’s children, Bawumia’s brothers and family, and many other apparatchiks.

Please know that John Mahama is a man with whom God is pleased. All the evil plans and intrigues against him are going to fail. He will go on to win the next election and put you and all who think like you to shame.
