Ace Investigative Journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has waded into former president John Dramani Mahama campaign messages and speeches ahead of the 2024 general elections.
According to the Journalist, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama looks like an angel in his quest to win power again,
Speaking to Bola Ray on Star Chat, Manasseh Azure described both president Nana Addo Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and former president John Dramani Mahama as “Day and Night”.
When asked why he put both former president John Dramani Mahama and President Akufo-Akufo’s pictures on his book Manasseh said the two of them are:” Day and night. John Mahama I thought was bad based on the indicators such as corruption, dumsor and all of that. And then Akufo-Addo comes and John Mahama is beginning to look like an angel.” He said.
Highlighting some scandals that rocked the Mahama led NDC government, Manasseh Azure stated Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA), the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), dead goat syndrome, dumsor and others.
“Not all that happened in the Mahama’e era. GYEEDA happened, SAADA happened, all the scandals happened, dumsor happened, there was a time the government didn’t appear to care, the dead goat syndrome. But another regime is in place.” He said.
The Ace Journalist indicated that he had so much hope that politics could change Ghana in the year 2016 when Akufo-Addo was campaigning to be president but his administration after almost 8 years caused him to lose trust and hope in both the NDC and the NPP.
“The last time that I had so much hope that politics could change Ghana was in 2016 when Akufo-Addo was campaigning to be president. After almost 8 years under Akufo-Addo, I am sad to say that I don’t have hope and trust in the NDC and the NPP.” He stated.
