Pentecost Preparatory School (PPS), on last Monday, 5th August, 2024 celebrated its 30th anniversary and homecoming event

The event, which took place at the school’s premises at Abourso in the Techiman South Municipality, was attended by the Techiman South Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, representatives of the Techiman South Municipal Education Directorate, some leaders of the Techiman Area Church of Pentecost led by the Techiman Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Isaac Nii Kortie Gyani , some old students of the school, parents and a section of the media.

The school, through the 30th anniversary highlighted some of the success the school has chalked over the years both in academics and extracurricular activities as well the success story of their alumni which served as a motivation for the current learners in the school.

Some alumni of the school also got the opportunity to interact with the learners as they seek to encourage them to take their education seriously.

Addressing the media, the Techiman Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Isaac Nii Kortie Gyani explained that the Church of Pentecost is very proud of the achievement of the school. He therefore encouraged parents to enroll their children at the Pentecost Preparatory School because the school offers the best of education and guidance for their learners.

“We are here to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pentecost Preparatory School, we are to remind ourselves of how far the school has gotten since its establishment. We are also using our 30th anniversary to thank God for seeing us through all these years.

“The school over the years has achieved a lot of success both academically and extracurricular, some of our alumni are doctors, teachers, computer scientists, pilots, nurses and one is even Minister of God in the Church of Pentecost.

“This is testament that enrolling your child in this school is the best decision a parent can ever make for his or her child, because through the dedication and hardworking nature of the teaching and non-teaching staff, the child will grow up to be a successful and responsible member of the society.” He said

The Chief of Kenten and Dabihene of the Techiman Traditional Council, who was also the guest speaker of the occasion, Nana Owusu Antwi Boasiako II, applauded the church of Pentecost for prioritizing education in the Techiman Municipality.

“The Pentecost Preparatory School is one of the best schools in the Techiman South Municipality, they have been able to train and nurture a whole range of talents in the municipality for the past 30 years and for that we applaud them.

“The school uses the doctrines of the Church of Pentecost and nurturing their learners and so I was not surprised when I heard the kind of jobs and positions some of their alumni are holding in the country.” He said

He urged parents to invest in the education of their children since it is the only way to secure their future.

“The best gift parents can give to their children is education and not just any education but quality education, our children are the hope and future leaders of our country so if we don’t invest in their future, we will regret it.” Nana Owusu Antwi Boasiako II,
