This development comes amid reports that Western nations, including the US, sought her ousting from power.
According to the report, the UK is also not prepared to grant her refuge.
She may remain in India for the time being, as the situation continues to escalate.
Sheikh Hasina is currently at a safe & secret location in India. Years ago, she took up an offer of political asylum from then Indian PM Indira Gandhi. She had lived in exile in New Delhi for six years.
