Ghanaian actor, Joseph van Vicker, better known as Van Vicker has explained why he couldn’t take part in Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin latest film, “A Country Called Ghana,”.
He said the director of the movies, Frank Fiifi Gharbin called him and said they would need him to play a role in the movie for one month.
But Van Vicky said the one month period was too long for him because it required more money and at the same time he was in school.
“Frank Fiifi Gharbin called me and said he wanted me to play a role in the movie, the role Ramsey Noah played. And I said fine, when are we shooting and how long is it going to take because I was in school, and he said okay I will get back to you. So later he said they would need me for one month, and I said why? One month, what are we going to do.?” He said in a video shared by Sikaofficial on X.
“You should also know that all actors, the more days you require, the more fees you will charge. So the earlier you finish with the acting, the less you spend. And you need me for one month, are you sure you will be able to pay me for the one month period? And even though I am in school, for one month I can’t do the work. But what I can do is 10-days. If you can do 10-days, I will do the work.” He added.
The movie director and humanitarian said he was shocked when he found out that Nigerian actor Ramsey Noah was also given the 10-days period to perform.
“Later he told me the 10-days can not work and I said no problem. Then later I heard them saying Ramsey is coming to do the work, and I was tracking the work. Can you believe Ramsey also did 10-days? I have no personal issue against Ransey but my request was that one month was too much, he could say something different but you brought in a different person who also did 10-days, so what was your point.” Van Vicky lamented.
