The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, says the NPP government has successfully implemented policies that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) had deemed impossible.
Addressing a gathering after a health walk in Akuapem in the Eastern Region, Dr Bawumia underlined some accomplishments of the NPP, attributing these achievements to the party’s unwavering belief that “with God, everything is possible.” He emphasized that the NPP’s commitment to national development has led to the fulfillment of its promises, showcasing the party’s dedication to transforming Ghana’s socio-economic landscape.
Dr Bawumia mentioned the successful implementation of the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) program and Mobile Money Interoperability among many others as a testament to the NPP’s ability to achieve what critics deemed impossible.
“As for them, they always says whatever we intend doing cannot be possible, even when they don’t understand the concept of the policy we want to implement, they will come out and say it is impossible
“For me, I have shaped my mind to accept that by the grace of God, everything is possible, there is nothing that we can’t do if we put our mind and effort into it. We can do everything that the Europeans have done in Africa.
“When we said we would introduce the Free Senior High School Education, what did they say, they said we can’t do it, they said it was 419, did we or did we not do it? He quizzed.
As the nation looks towards the upcoming elections, Dr. Bawumia’s remarks aim to bolster confidence in the NPP’s ability to deliver on its promises and continue its trajectory of success.
Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for Banda Constituency in the Bono Region, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim has said the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) was started by former president John Dramani Mahama in July, 2016.
