The Oti Region branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on July 31st, 2024, will lead a fundraising event at the Movenpick Hotel
The fundraising event is to generate revenue for the party as they prepare for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
The event will provide an opportunity for party supporters, members, and the general public to contribute to the party’s cause as they campaign in hope to regain power and lead Ghana to the promised land.
National Chairman for the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary, Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, and the Oti Regional NDC Chairperson, John Kwadwo Gyapong are all expected to be present at the event.
The funds raised during the event will be used to finance various party activities, including campaign activities and many others.
Per reports, all regions in the country will organize similar events to support the party’s quest in winning the 2024 general elections.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Regional branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) was in April, 2024 successfully raised an amount of GHS 5.4 million to support the flagbearer, John Mahama to execute his campaign for election 2024.
The fundraising event chaired by Ghanaian businessman and a former military officer of the Ghanaian Armed Forces, Prince Kofi Amoabeng was attended by former president John Dramani Mahama, his running mate, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang and other party executives.
The NDC is working hard to unseat the ruling New Patriotic Party (NDC) in the December 7 polls.
The party believes the former president can bring relief to Ghanaians if he is given the opportunity to lead the country as a president again.
Both the ruling NPP and the opposition parties have declared the 2024 elections as crucial.
The Electoral Commission has promised to ensure the election is free, fair and transparent.
Madam Jean Mensah, the EC chairperson has urged all the contestants to accept the outcomes of the elections.
