Prof. Dinkum has shot down the Youth Wing of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region statement calling for cancellation of plans to confer an honorary doctorate degree on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The University of Health and Allied Science (UHAS) has planned to confer an honorary doctorate degree on President Nana Addo for making science education more accessible to Ghanaians.

But the NDC Youth Wing in the Volta Region in a statement signed by their Regional Youth Organizer, Mathias Johnson Alagbo called on UHAS to cancel the proposal since Nana Addo policies and actions have undermined the welfare and development in the Volta Region and Ghana at large.

Reacting to this, Prof. Dinkum has listed developmental projects done by the NPP government under the leadership of President Nana Addo.

“In September, 2021, the President, Nana Akufo Addo cut sod for the dawn of the phase II of the UHAS Campus. As of now, it is over 95% in completion. This project once completed, would snowball students population from the current 6,000 to about 10,000.” He said in a statement.

“Moreover, in 2023, the president, Nana Akufo Addo on Monday, commissioned phase 3 of the five Districts Water Supply Project at Adaklu in the Volta Region. This project which costs €11.5 million is benefiting some 89, 150 people in 95 communities in Central Tongu, Adaklu and Agotime – Ziope. ” Part of the statement read.

STRAITJACKET YOURSELF FROM RED HERRINGS.

Hey Mathias Alagbo!

On the 14th of this month, Mrs. Maria Gwira, the Director of Public Affairs of UHAS promulgated a bulletin , which blazoned abroad that, the University Council has endorsed to honour President Akufo – Addo for his copybook leadership in making science education more accessible to Ghanaian cohorts and being the Sancho for stone broke students’ . In greeting  to this enterprise with your Youth Wing, you gazetted a harum – scarum and fatuous cavils in the context of this. I think, the statement released by the University Council of UHAS was all Greek to you, hence emanated that double Dutch response. You have borne out by the fact that, you aren’t esoterically sophisticated only, but intellectually insipid as well.

Your three – hanky gripes were non sequitur. I have cottoned on that, decipherment is a chink in your armor : an unresolved foible actually. After I perused through your communiquê, I started to catastrophize over your academic credentials, in case you had not been in primary school. Man, your nodus is ‘ assimilation ‘ and this has kept you in a catch – 22 situations perennially. President Nana Akufo – Addo is blasé about your grumbles, since he is unshrinking and plucky man.
Since the characters of your Party, the NDC likes playing to the gallery, we shall also pull the plug on your lies always.

The baseline of that release was about how Nana Akufo – Addo has imparted Science sizeably through the free SHS policy and the introduction of the STEM education and due to the fact that, UHAS is also a science – centred institution, therefore, they deemed it felicitously to treasure his mark in that department by conferring on him with honorary doctorate degree. This meriting gesture has aggravated you people to the marrow, not startling you people are a quantity of green – eyed monsters. The government has completed about 7 STEM schools, which are in operation now. Those 7 STEM schools have recruited over 2, 400.

The Accra High School STEM centre is functional, and it receives 250 students every day, who essay training in robotics, 3D printing, coding, physics, chemistry and biology for JHS and SHS students who are in the Greater Accra Region. The NPP Government has also embarked on retooling of science laboratories ( Physics, Chemistry and Biology ) of one hundred and eighty selected schools across. With the free SHS, Nana Akufo Addo’s footprints are crystal clear and don’t need any special dossier. These legacies of Nana Akufo – Addo are the underpinning for his impending honorary doctorate conferment by UHAS. You couldn’t jettison that dominance pattern in their pronouncement and engaged into tergiversations instead.

Your humdrum statement was aimed at haranguing the Akufo Addo’s regime for ostracizing the Voltarians with germane to developments. But unfortunately, you couldn’t expostulate ad rem. Your objective to plug your propaganda for ballyhoo has been harried by your own dopiness as if, you were a termagant _ you couldn’t trump. Now, let me school you about some arrestive projects executed by Nana Akufo – Addo in the Volta Region ;

In September, 2021, the President, Nana Akufo Addo cut sod for the dawn of the phase II of the UHAS Campus. As of now, it is over 95% in completion. This project once completed, would snowball students population from the current 6,000 to about 10,000.

The project entails the construction of the University’s Administration Block, the School of Nursing and Midwifery with lecture halls, skills laboratories, a library and offices. It is being subsidized by the Chinese government with 438. 06 million Chinese yuan ( thus, $68M ) due to our intimacy with them through ‘ One China Policy ‘, however, the funds for the phase II project wasn’t as a result of the NDC’s government manipulation then. Mr. Lu Ku, the Chinese Ambassador during the said sod – cutting ceremony said, ” the education had long flourished in education and would be expanded to other areas “. Our partnership with China was secured in the name of this Country and not merely on the ticket of any partisan political party, hence, such furore from the NDC caucus, that they attained that sponsorship deal ought to be trimmed down. At the same premises of UHAS, the government of Ghana under the tutelage of Nana Akufo Addo, provided Gh¢ 6.2 million in counterpart funding for the procurement of public utilities, including access roads to the school.

Moreover, in 2023, the president, Nana Akufo Addo on Monday, commissioned phase 3 of the five Districts Water Supply Project at Adaklu in the Volta Region. This project which costs €11.5 million is benefiting some 89, 150 people in 95 communities in Central Tongu, Adaklu and Agotime – Ziope. The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has completed Ghana’s first micro hydroelectric plant at Alavanyo, in the Volta Region. The Tsatsadu Generating Station (TGS), situated on the Tsatsadu Waterfalls in the Hohoe District of the Volta Region, has a capacity of 45kW with the possibility of adding another 40-60kW capacity turbine in the future.
In August 2022, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has commissioned the Volta River Authority’s thirteen megawatt (13MW) Solar Power Project, a project whose sod he cut in February 2020.

On the remonstrance of road infrastructures, the Nana Akufo Addo’s administration has towered above your flagbearer, John Mahama. Currently, Nana Akufo – Addo has momentously constructed 432 kilometers of roads since his assumption as the president of Ghana in January 2017. Some of the epic projects finalized by this topical NPP government includes ; the dualization of the 22km Ho main road, the 30km Have to Kpando road, and the upgrading of the Golokwati-Wli road. Additionally, the 15km Asikuma junction to Ho road has been resealed, the 30km Frankadua to Adidome road has been re-graveled, and the 17.8km Matse-Klave and Lume Atsiame-Avetokoe roads have been resurfaced.

Other road projects completed include the asphaltic overlay on 15km of town roads in Hohoe, the bitumen surfacing of various feeder roads, the upgraded Klefe town roads, and established projects such as the Ho By-Pass dualization and the upgraded selected roads in Ketu South.

It is for a fact that, before Nana Akufo Addo assumed Office, only 135km of the roads were in rattling good shape , accounting for 27% of the total length. However, as of the end of 2022, this had increased to 366 kilometers, representing 74% of the Corridor in good condition under the effect of Nana Akufo Addo.

It is ersatz for anyone to chew over that, this NPP de nos jours government has underperformed in the Volta Region. As for the NDC simpaticos, lies are their signatures. Man, kindly halt this clangour of yikes, because it won’t be a fecund grounds to thwart this schedule.
