The New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Aowin constituency in the in Western North Region, Yakubu Fusani, has donated 140 bags of cement to the Muslim community in the constituency.
The kind gesture by the NPP PC is to aid the Muslim community in Aowin to construct their first ever Islamic school in the municipality.
The donation, which took place recently, is in fulfillment of a promise he made to the Muslim community. 70 of the 140 bags of cement was donated to the Muslim community last year and the remaining 70 was given to them during the Eid celebrations.
Presenting the cement on his behalf, Chairman Nurudeen, Hon. Kotodwe, Mr. Asamoah and Deputy Constituency Nasara coordinator explained the motive behind the kind gesture.
“He has delegated us to bring these cements, he promised to donate 140 bags of cements to help in the construction of this school, he has already donated 70 bags of the cements so we are here today to bring the additional 70 bags.
“Abanga Fuseni, is very committed to the development of our constituency and he is ever ready to lend a helping hand to the Muslim community whenever the need arises.” They said.
Yakubu Fusani’s donation was met with excitement and gratitude from the Muslim community, who expressed their appreciation for Fusani’s generosity and support. The cement will be used to construct classrooms, bathrooms, and other essential facilities for the school, which aims to provide quality education to Muslim children in the area.
“Abanga Yakubu Fuseni, incoming MP, has donated 140 bags of cement to the Muslim community, we are building a school just behind Nana Bour filling station and we need help from all and sundry, Abaga has done his part and we are very grateful.
“We pray his dreams of becoming our new Member of Parliament becomes a reality because we know that when he becomes the MP, he will do more than what he is doing, we pray for Allah’s mercy and guidance for him and wish him all the best.” Some of the Muslims in the community told our reporter.
