The Konkmase Area 2 Royal Family has officially outdoored Nana Ampem Darko Boateng I and Nana Gyamfua Akumfi Ameyaw I as the new Ankobeahene and Ankobeahemaa to the community.
The event which took place at the heart of the community, was chaired by the Chief of Konimase Area 2, Nana Owusu Kromo Ackaa and was graced with the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Techiman Traditional Council, Nana Stephen Akumfi Ameyaw, all members of the Konimase Area 2 royal family, the clergy, well-wishers, including members of the community .
The Chief of Konimase Area 2, Nana Owusu Kromo Ackaa, during the event advised the new Ankobeahene and Ankobeahemaa of the community to respect the customs and traditions of the land.
He expressed his congratulations to Nana Ampem Darko Boateng I and Nana Gyamfua Akumfi Ameyaw I, on their new role and highlighted the significance of their positions as the Ankobeahene and Ankobeahemaa of Konimase Area 2.
He stressed that their responsibilities include safeguarding the cultural heritage and promoting unity within the community and the country as a whole.
“I thank Nana Ampem Darko Boateng I and Nana Gyamfua Akumfi Ameyaw I, for accepting this responsibility and I know they will help to drive the community forward. I will urge you to follow the footsteps of the chiefs you have come to meet at the Konimase Area 2 Traditional Council.
“You have come to join us to serve the people of Konimase Area 2, never abuse your powers because if you do that, your reign will be very short, in all, I wish you all the best and pray that you become successful.” He said.
The Chief of Staff of the Techiman Traditional Council, Nana Stephen Akumfi Ameyaw, urged the Konimase Area 2 royal family to fully support Nana Ampem Darko Boateng I and Nana Gyamfua Akumfi Ameyaw I and guide them as they begin their roles as members of the Konimase Area 2 Traditional Council.
Nana Stephen Akumfi Ameyaw, said “as the new Ankobeahene and Ankobeahemaa of the land, it’s expected of you to abide by all the traditions of the land and you must assist your chief to ensure the development of the community, you must avail yourself whenever you are needed by Konimase Area 2 Traditional Council as well as the Techiman Traditional Council.”
Nana Ampem Darko Boateng I, expressed his profound gratitude to his family members and the people of Konimase Area 2 for the honour bestowed upon him and promised not to take them for granted.
“I would like to thank Nananom, my family and the people of Konimase Area 2 for the honour they have bestowed upon me today. I promised to do everything in my power to ensure the development of the community, I will respect the customs and traditions of the land and again promised not to take anything for granted.
“As a teacher, I will do everything within my powers to improve the standard of education in this town and I will look for best ways to help the youth in this community to attain higher heights in education.” He said.
Finally, Nana Gyamfua Akumfi Ameyaw I, pledged to collaborate with the traditional leaders at Konimase Area 2 and the Techiman Traditional Council to ensure the development of Konimase Area 2 and Techiman as a whole.
” I thank God for the honour bestowed upon me as the first Ankobeahene of Konimase Area 2, I will collaborate with my leaders and elders to bring development to our community and make sure girl child education will be paramount at Konimase Area 2,” She disclosed.
