The Bono East Regional Director of the Electoral Commission, Gabriel Dei Yeboah, has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the voter registration exercise in the region.
According to him, the region has enjoyed a smooth and peaceful process without any major incident despite an incident at Nkoranza South.
In an interview with Rev. Nana Amakye Sei on Classic FM’s Kokrokoo morning show monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com, Dr. Dei Yeboah applauded all the political parties in the Bono East Region, staff of the Electoral Commission and the general public for their efforts and cooperation, which has contributed to the successful implementation of the voter registration exercise.

The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) extended the deadline for the ongoing limited voters’ registration exercise after the various stakeholders called on the EC to extend the deadline for the registration exercise to avoid chaos in the general elections.
“The Electoral Commission is pleased to inform the public that the ongoing Voters’ Registration Exercise has been extended for two (2) additional days. The exercise will now end on Wednesday, the 29th of May 2024. This arrangement has been put in place to make up for the network challenges experienced during the first two (2) days of the Registration Exercise,” The EC said in a statement.
“We urge all eligible citizens who are yet to register to visit the Commission’s office in the district where they reside to register to vote.” Part of the statement read.
