The Director for the vice president and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team, Dennis Edward Aboagye also known as Dennis Miracles Aboagye has said Ghana is one of the countries who are doing well in terms of Education in the world.
According to him, Ghana can be compared to four countries in the world that can say they have opened up access to education for its citizens and remains a top country in performance in terms of education in West Africa.
Speaking in an interview with Bola Ray, Miracles Aboagye explained that current statistics shows that the education performance in Ghana is better than the previous years.
“We are doing well in education, we are doing well in health, we are doing better in agriculture than we were….. In this country today, we can be compared to just about four countries in the world that can say that we have opened up access to education for its citizens. Today, in West Africa, Ghana remains a top country in performance in terms of education.” He said.
Miracle Aboagye stressed that the only objective way of measuring the performance of the education is through the test and assessment and the country has passed that test and assessment.
“How do you measure training? You measure training through assessment and test, the only way we can have an objective way of measuring the performance of our education is through the test that we have been writing for years. Today, the statistics show that these children are doing better than what they were doing 6, 7 years ago” He indicated.
According to him, the country has come to this far because of good leadership and that Ghanaians should vote for Dr. Bawumia in the December 7 poll to continue the good work the NPP government has started.
He said at this point in time, Ghana needs a true leader who can be encouraged in the midst of challenges to mobilize the people to come out of it.
“We are looking for the long term sustainability of this country rather than the short term challenges. And one of the things Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is telling the Ghanaian people in all the nine (9) regions we have gone to is that, leadership is not the absence of challenges, true leadership is the presence of courage in the midst of challenges to mobilize the people to come out of it.” He stated.
