Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese V, the Paramount Chief of the Yeji Traditional Area and President of the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs, has praised the NPP led government for creation of the Bono East Region, stating that it has been instrumental in driving development and bringing governance closer to the people.

In his remarks, the Paramount Chief highlighted the significant improvements in infrastructure and public service delivery that the region has experienced since its establishment in 2019.

The Paramount Chief noted that the decentralization of governance has allowed for a more targeted and responsive approach to addressing the needs of the local population. This, in turn, has led to the improvement of essential infrastructure, such as roads, schools, and healthcare facilities, which have had a positive impact on the lives of the people.

He further explained that, the creation of the reigon has facilitated the implementation of various development projects and initiatives that have directly benefited the communities in our region.

“The creation of our regions has brought us many blessings, infrastructure development and other things, among the notable buildings completed are the regional coordinating council office, regional agric office, the regional health directorate, regional federal roads office complex, the regional health insurance office and the YEA office.”

“our Excellency, among other things, you are a man of vision and made a lot of positive impact we wish you the best in your endeavors.
In the heath sector, among the heartwarming issue is the steady progress of the Agenda 111 at Prang, Kajaji, Bosonya and Tuobodom. In the road sector, the Kintampo – Prang road is also progressing steadily and we are anxious about the completion of that road which will significantly improve mobility.” He said

Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese V continued, “bringing governance closer to the people has been a game-changer,” the Paramount Chief added. “It has enabled us to work more closely with the regional authorities to identify and address the specific challenges facing our communities.”

The Bono East Region was created in 2019 as part of the government’s broader initiative to decentralize governance and promote regional development across Ghana.

The region, which was carved out of the former Brong Ahafo Region, has since been working to establish its own administrative structures and drive economic growth.

Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese V, made this assertion when the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia paid a curtsey call on the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs during his campaign tour in the region.
