Nana Kwame Ankoma I Pledges to Engage Youth, Promote Peace Ahead of 2024 Elections

Nana Kwame Ankoma I, the new Dikro (Chief) for the communities of Ankomakrom, Nsuta sereso, Ebaanaba, and Tanonaafo, has vowed to constantly engage with the youth in his jurisdiction to educate them against election violence.

In an interview with the media, Nana Ankoma I, said his primary goal is to ensure a peaceful electoral process before, during, and after the 2024 general elections in Ghana.

“We are in an election year, so I will take it upon myself to constantly advise my people especially the youth against any form of election violence, we are aware that during this season, some people deliberately pay the youth to engage in some social vices all in the name of winning election.

“I will engage with the youth and let them know the negative of election violence on the society and the consequences they are likely to face should they engage in such act.

“Our Member of Parliament, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah whenever he gets the opportunity speaks against any form of violence so I will meet with the youth in my traditional area and advise them on the need in keeping the peace of the country before, during and after the 2024 general elections.

“As a traditional leader, I recognize the important role I can play in promoting peace and stability in my communities, I will work tirelessly to engage the youth, educate them on the importance of non-violence, and encourage them to participate in the electoral process in a responsible and peaceful manner.” Nana Kwame Ankoma I told elvisanokyenews.com

The new Dikro emphasized that he will leverage his position and influence to foster dialogue, discourage the use of inflammatory rhetoric, and promote mutual understanding among the various political factions within his communities.

“My door will always be open to the youth, and I will listen to their concerns and aspirations,” Nana Ankoma I added. “Together, we can ensure that the 2024 elections are conducted in a peaceful and democratic manner, setting an example for the rest of the country.”
